T.M.Krishna's
concert was substantial and he rendered very pleasingly Kava
velava, varali, Vandanamu in sahana. He sang kharahapriya
elaborately and took up Sakkaniraja. Did full justice to the
song. The raga and song took nearly an hour. He chose Mandari
for RTP ,a raga that does not have much scope for elaboration.
Hence the RTP could not be that extensive. His Tamil viruttam
in ragamalika was very , touching and soothing. Someone in
the audience wanted Marubalga ,a semmangudi favourite. He
went thru the piece at lightning speed,and the rendering was
quite true to Semmangudi bhani. Bu Ganeash Prasad on the violin
and Vaidyanathan on the mridangam gave excellent support. |
